ACE Training

Accelerated Contemporary Experience
A comprehensive dance training program designed to further the growth and development of contemporary dancers, ages 10-adult, through enhanced training and performance opportunities, fostering creativity, imagination, collaboration and mentorship.
Cohesion's ACE program consists of Four Key Pillars:
-
Training
-
Students are required to attend a weekly workshop with instruction in composition, choreography creation, improvisation, partnering, and more.
-
In addition to the weekly workshop, students must enroll in and attend 2-3 weekly studio classes, specifically in Modern/Contemporary and Ballet.
-
ACE dancers will also receive shorter workshops in stage craft, lighting design, and more.
-
ACE dancers work directly with Cohesion's Artist in Residency
-
-
Creating
-
ACE participants are required to create one piece of choreography to be shared during the ACE performance on March 20th.
-
Student choreographers will be assigned an instructor mentor during the choreography process.
-
Student choreographers also design the lighting and technical aspects.
-
-
Performing
-
Students will perform in at least one other ACE dancer piece.
-
Students are expected to perform in the End of Session Showcase (April 24, 2027), as well as the Guest Artist Residency (May 21-23, 2027).
