Created by Shira Greenberg, Artistic Director of Keshet Dance Company  in Albuquerque, NM, this community based, rock-n-roll rendition of the classic holiday tale features the music of James Brown, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, and more along with a roaring Harley Davidson on stage! One exciting scene after another showcases a unique and energetic fusion of dancers and dance styles as audiences are taken on a thrilling journey through the decades, including the roaring 20’s, a sock hop of the 50’s, and flower power of the 60’s.

Artistically blending beginners to professionals in creative partnerships and energetic collaborations this powerful performance seamlessly weaves people of all abilities, including those dancing from their wheelchairs, into the fabric of the choreography.

Exhilarated audiences have experienced heart-warming joy and tears of inspiration upon witnessing the diversity of the cast, the energy leaping out from the stage, and visions of unlimited possibilities.

Originating in Albuquerque, NM, and performed there for 20 years, Helena now holds the prestigious honor of being the only location where this innovative production is staged.

A captivating fusion of dance, original music, and stunning visual imagery, the 2024 residency production embarks on a journey into the fascinating world of fractals, where nature's beauty meets mathematical precision. Fractals in Motion is brought to life by a collaboration of six talented Montana choreographers - Julynn Wildman, Jessica Partridge, Tanya Call, Seely Garrett, Tara McFarland, and Toree Benson – along with a vibrant cast of 20 dancers from across the Helena community and the musical genius of Lenny Eckhardt. For the past three months, contributing artists have gleaned inspiration from the organic forms of fractals in nature, their intricate mathematical patterns, and the artistic wonders they create to sculpt a magical performance like no other. Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in the mesmerizing exploration of Fractals in Motion, where dance meets mathematics and imagination knows no bounds!
